Every day I get a little bit closer to wanting to do and host a massive tumblr art trade art blog event that's like Art Fight but for proshippers and is like CreativeClash but I'm the one in charge and doing it and hosting the fun team theme polls and stuff pensive 😔

It's almost as if the wider public understands that fiction can be both fucked up and entertaining without the need for a moral lesson following after, or that it's an indictment that you're going to partake in the things you read about.

Antis are so far removed from reality, and they have to remain that way in order to not have their beliefs constantly challenged and torn apart.

One of my friends who is an anti and a comshipper in denial (human x non-human, dubcon/noncon, angst enjoyer) told me recently that liking non-con and abuse in fiction is okay but enjoying kodocon and incest in the same fiction is not

And I was wondering... Why are these two things (which are BOTH morally wrong irl and are BOTH illegal or harmful irl, which BOTH can be triggering to someone and BOTH can be pretty much enjoyable to someone in fiction) treated differently? Why are those aspects of dark fiction treated so... Well... Twofold?

Abuse, guro, eroguro, murders (and any brutal crimes in general), kodocon, pedo/zoo/necrophilia, non/dubcon, severe mental illnesses etc description falls under darkfic definition, as far as I can tell, and antis tend to enjoy some parts of it (the greatest example of it is YanSim, Danganronpa and some psychological horrors enjoyers) with no shame, but at the same time they shame comship/kodocon/noncon enjoyers for the same thing. Isn't that weird?

My theory is, they treat these things differently because these things mostly present romantic or sexual stuff and so are pretty easy to be romanticized and sexualized. But:

Not every dark romantic or sexual fiction is meant to be seen as romantic/sexual in general and is meant to be romanticized or sexualized. From my experience, I would say it works vice versa. Romantic or sexual fiction can be used as a vent, as a representation of sexual traumatic experience, as an intentionally disturbing and triggering media (for horrors and thrillers), as an appeal to reflection of the essence of romantic/sexual relationships and behaviors between humans etc

Everything, in fact, can be romanticized or sexualized, no matter of its content. People romantize and sexualize mental illnesses, neurodiversions, murders, self-harm, suicide, cannibalism etc — everything that is NOT sexual or romantic in the first place. That's why, for example, different fetishes and eroguro exist

Romanticizing and sexualizing something in fiction and in real life is really different. Yes, in some cases fiction CAN affect reality and vice versa (for example how drawn porn can make you have certain fetishes, even though the porn you consumed were not, in fact, real), but it's NOT as common as antis and pro-cencorship people think. The only reasons (from what I know) people think fiction reflects real life unspoken rules are that they are either not mature enough to separate fiction from reality or their perception of reality is way too disrupted. So, if you're not a teenager/adult or if you know fiction can affect the way you treat real people, do not consume the fiction that you think can alter your brain into thinking dark fiction presents what's right and what's wrong, what you can do and can't do. And if you're a parent, please, watch your children and control the stuff they consume till they're mature enough. That's it

Also I would like to mention that it's OKAY to dislike, hate or despise dark fiction, or even people that consume this kind of stuff, as long as you don't assault, insult, or try to make real human beings feel bad about themselves in any way

About antis' activities on russian segment of telegram

I don't know what to start with, but I'm pretty sure you've seen a lot of antis on Twitter, Tiktok, Instagram, etc, but probably never heard of antis on telegram. Because telegram is a messenger, not a typical social media where you post stuff and get followers. Well, antis on telegram are even worse that... Anything, to be honest. And I would like to address one undescribably awful and disgusting situation, which had place in proship friendly space on telegram

So, there is a popular form of russian public channels which is called confessions, where you can almost absolutely anonymously (or completely anonymously, it depends) post any confession on a specific topic. BTD confessions, genshin confessions, queer confessions, etc. And there is one of channels which is friendly to proshippers:

Hardqueer (also known as queer against cancel culture) — is a person who doesn't bend to cancel culture in a way it exist now. This term, as far as I know, came from queer telegram spaces

This channel sometimes posts confessions about being a proshipper and hating antis. Nothing spectacular, you might think, and you'll be right! But antis (or, how mod of this channel calls them, "softqueers") found hardqueer confessions due to multiple reposts within confessions community.

Softqueer (also known as pro cancel culture queer) — is a person who supports cancel culture and cancels any problematic person. In terms of proshipping, not every anti is a softqueer, but every softqueer is an anti

Before I continue, I must mention that this dividing of queers is pretty unnecessary imo, but in this case I shall use this terminology so you could understand what's going on within all this "soft/hardqueer" situation

I don't even know. Traumatize them probably? While saying they "protect traumatized from abuse people". What a hypocrites. There is no excuse for this. Yes, "hardqueers" may be wrong in some aspects of their ideology imo (for example they don't care about slurs since in Russia it's a normal thing to say slurs you can't reclaim etc), but it's not an excuse for such behavior. Even though there are no proofs of this situation being true besides my screenshots and her (mod's) words, there is also no proofs that this DIDN'T happen. And we are talking about CSEM. And I think direct screenshots of scem being sent in bot would be considered as spreading csem which I don't want to do. So the only thing I left to do is to hope you'll pay your attention to this disturbing and terrible situation. I would be grateful if you'd reblog this to your page so more people would know what's going on. And if you are a telegram user, PLEASE, BE CAREFUL. There are some people with bad tendencies who can hurt you. Telegram's anonymous politics may be hurtful for your mental health. I am pretty sure that she's into really dark and fucked up stuff in fiction, such as abuse, age gap and pedophilia (but can consume literally any comfiction lol). Even though she's traumatized, she doesn't comship because of her traumas, she's doing it just for fun, it's like her hobby or something which helps her to go through tough days. P-chan doesn't care about her ships, but he doesn't mind either. Ame likes to rant about her favourite ship dynamics to p-chan and she gets mad when p-chan doesn't reply with enthusiastic messages. And she also wrote comfanfics when she was younger, but she's ashamed of it

It’s crazy the amount of times I’ll interact with someone with the exact same “problematic” ships as me and then I’ll check their profile and apparently they’re claiming to be an anti. Even when… it seems so incredibly obvious that a true anti would not tolerate the things we both ship at all.

I think there’s a lot of deep insecurity running in people who feel the need to justify their interest in or dislike for certain ships whether considerably “problematic” or not with morality. At some point, they’re only considering ships they don’t personally like as problematic and those they do as not problematic, and I think that’s made obvious by the fact they feel such a need to bend over backwards to explain the moral reasoning behind what they ship and don’t. It’s almost certainly insecurity and discomfort in their own sense of sexuality.
