[Image ID: A still image of the character Octavian surrounded by 8 gifs. Line one has a close-up gif of someone writing cursive calligraphy on lined paper, a gif of someone gently squeezing a stuffed teddy bear, and a gif of someone's hands pulling a dagger from a leather sheath and spinning the blade. Line two has a gif of a sunset through an arched stone window and a gif of a timelapse of a sunset over an ocean. Line three has a gif panning over a dagger and sheath laying on wooden planks, a gif of someone holding three small stuffed teddy bears in one hand, and a close-up gif of someone writing the word 'always' in cursive with a pen.]
The riddles for tonight’s trick-or-treat are done. It’s by far not my best calligraphy work but for being something done in an hour while under heavy pain medication, it’s pretty good. I had a little accident with the ink at the end so I decided I might as well embrace the messy old scroll look and smear ink everywhere.
The ‘scrolls’ with a seal are riddles from The Hobbit and the other two are easier riddles for the younger kids.
POV: When Aziraphale is extremely mad at Crowley so he writes down bad words bc he would never say them out loud to him

The ironic thing about cursive to me is that formed it naturally as a way for people to be able to write things quicker by not having to lift up their pen, but I feel like when I was growing up, cursive was treated as this big fancy thing that only the adults and rich people know and you can only have have extremely good penmanship in order to have proper cursive. That’s why it was super hard for us to learn it and we all wrote extremely slow and meticulously so that our teacher would give us our stamp in our textbook so we could go play uno with our friends and be other with it for the rest of class.
There's a reason why 90% of the people I know chose to stick to print script.
Thank you, that's perfect! Literally my entire mobile browsing experience in calligraphic form

I rather like my handwriting in pen. I wish I was good at calligraphy, but I’m too lazy to practice. ✒️✒️✒️ #handwriting #handwritinggoals #calligraphy https://www.instagram.com/p/BnC-XPCHgme/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1kjmr45a6qlna

Doing some review for APWH since the exam is this Thursday (tbh I’m trying to fit a years worth of studying in 4 days so I’m kind of dying :).)

A present I made for my dear friend @ave-puella. You may recognize it as a short Temeraire fic she posted a little while back. It’s done entirely by hand, and was my first time attempting borders and illumination. I’m still figuring out gold leaf, but it was super fun to work with (there’s also some gold work on the border of the third page). For those of you unfamiliar with the Temeraire universe, there are dragons, hence the second page border.
It was a heck of a lot of work, but was entirely worth it for her face and incredulous ‘what did you do?!’

Happy New Year everyone. Thank you so much to you all for taking an interest in my work. Over 3.9 million likes on 192 posts on @instagram in 2015. Over 1.4 million accounts following me across social media. Such big plans for my art career in 2016. It is daunting but I’m going to give it everything I’ve got. I hope 2016 is a great year for all of you. #2015bestnine #seblester #thankyou

Welcome to Night Vale is awesome! I’ll probably make another more elaborate Night Vale page soon.
Battle of Wits from Turnabout Musical.
I painted the plate, spear, and van, but had to print out the photo.
My take on the wonderful song “Tomorrow, At Last” from Turnabout Musical. You can listen to it here. More information about my design process below the break.
Layout: I split the page in half diagonally both ways. The moon on the top left and the sun on the bottom right represent the parts of the song that take place the night before the trial and the morning of it. Perpendicular to that division, I also split the page into Phoenix’s half (blue) and Edgeworth’s half (red, because I don’t have any paper that’s quite the colour of Edgeworth’s suit). Symbols of people who support Phoenix’s belief that Edgeworth is innocent appear on the top right, and those who agree with Edgeworth that he should be found guilty are on the bottom right. I used white for backgrounds on Phoenix’s side to represent his hopefulness, and black on Edgeworth’s side to represent his despair.
Details: Files: These are the DL-6 files that Phoenix is spending the night reading, with another folder behind for the files for the current case Magatamas: Maya’s orange magatama is on top of Mia’s ghostly purple magatama, showing that Mia is still supporting her. Gun: The gun from Edgeworth’s nightmare Scales: Based on the scales over the judge’s bench in the courtroom. Evidence: The metal detector, stack of lake photos and headphones represent the major contributions of each witness so far (present because of the lines in the song “We’ve given you the fact/ We’ve done all we can do/ We’ve all got you back, Nick/ Now it’s all up to you,” sung by Gumshoe, Lotta, and Larry. Calendar: The colour scheme of the calendar is based on von Karma’s outfit. The two pages that show in part are December 28, 2001 and December 28, 2016. Based on von Karma’s line “It’s taken 15 years but it was worth the wait.” Police logo: Present because of the line “We've helped the prosecution/ Convict a prosecutor” sung by the police (Dustin, Maggey, and Meekins).
